Be seduced by the Hybrid Power Management System
The first technology we want to show is called Hybrid Power.
This system utilizes stored energy during each and every shredding cycle in order to improve efficiency and performances. Thanks to this innovation, everyone could shred up to 15% of documents only through the stored energy, disconnecting the machine from the power supply. This way, no power gets consumed during the stand-by phase. Nature will be grateful.
This system is available only on select models, and Kobra Hybrid is one of them. This shredder, in addition to the latest development in Power Management System, also has a reliable and durable mechanism with a 24 hour continuous duty motor that ensures stunning performances.
For a bigger sheet capacity – the number of sheets that can be shred at a time – you can choose Kobra Hybrid-S. This machine is quite similar to the other model in terms of security, but its motor is more powerful; perfect for bigger offices and departments.
Both shredders can destroy paper, credit cards with or without chips and films.
Saving energy with the Energy Smart system
Energy Smart is the latest technological development by Elcoman and it is much more diffuse than the Hybrid System in the Kobra range of shredders.
This system reduce emissions responsible for global warming and protects the environment saving energy. A dedicated software manages the energy consumption of every paper shredder and shows the value through some illuminated optical indicators located on top of the machines.
Because of this innovation, a Kobra shredder requires electricity only during use. Once the machine has finalised the operation, the system will activate the stand-by mode automatically, making sure that no more electrical energy gets drained from the power source.
Compared to the traditional shredders on the market, the shredders equipped with this modern technology can considerably reduce energy cost and curb down the carbon dioxide introduced into the atmosphere. In addition, the Energy Smart System complies to the standards set by the Kyoto Protocol in terms of emissions.
When the shredder with the Energy Smart System has not been in use for just 8 seconds, it goes into automatic power saving stand-by mode and turns back on when you insert another sheet of paper into the machine. Moreover, after 4 hours of inactivity the Touch Screen Line models automatically disconnect from the main power supply, so you do not need to switch off the shredder before leaving the office.
